Member Group Grants
2026

Friends of Parks Queensland is pleased to announce the opening of the 2026 Member Group Grant Program, a closed, competitive grant available to full member groups undertaking projects that protect and enhance Queensland’s protected areas.

Grants of $1,000 to $2,500 (ex-GST) are available to support high-impact projects within national parks, conservation parks, and state forests. Funded activities must align with the Friends of Parks Queensland vision and mission and receive support from Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service & Partnerships (QPWS&P) for any on-ground works.

Eligible projects may include environmental protection or restoration activities, community engagement initiatives, training or capacity-building for volunteers, Traditional Owner engagement, professional ecological services, and project-related communications or outreach.

The grant is open from 8th of January to 8th of February 2026. Applications will be assessed by the Friends of Parks Queensland Management Committee based on eligibility, feasibility, and potential conservation impact. Successful applicants will be notified by 1 March 2026.

For full eligibility criteria, guidelines, and application details, please refer to the 2026 Member Group Grant Guidelines or contact Friends of Parks Queensland directly.

Acknowledgement Of Country

Friends of Parks Queensland respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the lands and waters where we live, work, and play — including the Kombumerri, Gambuwal, Githabul, Yaggera, Jinibara, Butchulla, and Gubbi Gubbi peoples. We honour their deep connection to Country, pay our respects to Elders past and present, and recognise their enduring custodianship that has cared for these places for countless generations
