This FREE event aims to remove marine debris from our beaches, where turtles have nested over the summer, to give our loggerhead turtle hatchlings the safest journey to the ocean possible. Members of the public are very welcome.

Get Involved in the First “Clean Up for Hatchlings” on Bribie Island! 🐢🌊
Make a powerful impact for Bribie Island’s loggerhead turtle hatchlings! On Saturday, February 1st, 2025, from 6:00 AM to 7:30 AM, join the Bribie Island Environmental Protection Association (BIEPA) and local volunteers for a beach cleanup that will help give hatchlings the safest journey to the ocean.
This annual event focuses on removing marine debris from the beaches where turtles have nested over the summer. By clearing these areas, participants will help protect the hatchlings’ path to the water.
