About the event

Join the BIEPA Clean-up Crew for a morning dedicated to making a positive impact! The team will be tackling 2.5km of Ocean Beach as part of BIEPA's ongoing efforts to clean up the entire National Park shoreline in the months ahead.

Just like in previous marine debris clean-ups, every piece of rubbish collected will contribute to the Tangaroa Blue Marine Debris Initiative Database, supporting vital research on marine debris.

Thanks to the generous support of G'day Adventure Tours, who will provide transport for volunteers to and from the meeting point along the beach, this event is possible. The clean-up is also made possible by the Queensland State Government's Department of Environment, Science and Innovation Community Sustainability Action grants. Join the effort and make a difference!

Please RSVP directly to the group.

Acknowledgement Of Country

Friends of Parks Queensland respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the lands and waters where we live, work, and play — including the Kombumerri, Gambuwal, Githabul, Yaggera, Jinibara, Butchulla, and Gubbi Gubbi peoples. We honour their deep connection to Country, pay our respects to Elders past and present, and recognise their enduring custodianship that has cared for these places for countless generations
