About the event

Why Nerang National Park?

Nerang National Park is a hidden gem—home to the largest remnant of lowland bushland on the Gold Coast and a vital green space protecting the headwaters of Coombabah Creek. With over 13 threatened species recorded and diverse habitats under pressure from increasing recreational use, the park urgently needs more ecological data to support its protection.

What is the BioBlitz?

The Nerang BioBlitz is an exciting one-day citizen science event bringing together Traditional Owners, ecologists, and nature lovers to survey the park’s incredible biodiversity. Your participation will help build a valuable species inventory and guide future conservation efforts.
