🌿 Join Us for a Special Eucalypt ID Workshop at Nerang National Park! 🌿
Join us in a hands-on workshop exploring the vital relationship between local flora and threatened fauna! From the majestic greater glider to the elusive glossy black-cockatoo and Richmond birdwing butterfly, discover how these threatened species rely on specific flora for survival. Most importantly, learn how to report data for species that are difficult to photograph and report on citizen science platforms!

โฐ Time: 3:30pm - 5:30pm, optional spotlighting from 6:30pm - 8:30pm (workshop attendance required for spotlighting*)ย

Learn to identify key eucalyptus species and report sightings using the Avenza app, with a focus on greater glider habitat, glossy black-cockatoo feed trees, and the Richmond birdwing butterfly vine. Whether you're a seasoned naturalist or just curious, this is your chance to make a difference in conservation!

- 🌳 Eucalypt species ID & ecosystem insights
- 🦉 Greater glider, glossy black-cockatoo, and Richmond birdwing butterfly vine reporting
- 📲 Hands-on use of the Avenza app for species records
- 📘 The opportunity to purchase the ACE Guide to Eucalypts by Prof Rod Fensham to assist with field identifications
🧳 What to Bring:
- 👟 Enclosed shoes, long pants, sun protection
- 📱 A mobile phone with the Avenza app installed
- 💧 Water and insect repellent
- 🔦 Torch if spotlighting
Note: The optional spotlighting session is only open to participants who attend the Avenza workshop.
